A symphonic epic battle cry theme. No synths used but with real symphonic instrument samples to give it more organic feel. Though its labelled as a spaceship battle, this will fit into any ancient war scene or a King Kong vs. Dino fight. Listen to this with your sub woofers on, some cool base drums are in it 🙂

Mystic Forest :: Fantasy Themes
This is a brief example of how music should be created for film to elicit emotion. While different arrangements represent different emotions along the story (suspense, sadness, anger, victory etc.), similar tunes or theme represents an identification of the same character or the story.
The first clip is a theme created for a magical, mystic forest. A little bit of suspense is also added to give it a bit more flavor.
The second clip is an alternate sadder and nostalgic arrangement of the same Mystic Forest theme – which might well be the grief of the person who enters the mystic forest in the first part.
Audio Post & Original Music Score in “Humidor”
Cleaned up all audio, re-edited, mixed and created the original music score.
This project was challenging as there were a lot of unwanted noise mixed with the location sound due to the ventilation fans mostly. There was NO room tone and also few shots were taken in another location which drastically broke the ambiance. The dialog was too distracting and the director Drew Tapley contacted me looking for a solution.
My approach was to capture the noise profiles of each audio clip and bring it down with minimum affect to the dialog frequencies. I used the same noise profile to re-create a room tone and lay it underneath the dialogs so ambiance cuts were smoothed out. This took a quite some time but the end result was much better and presentable than the original. There were however a few places where the ambiance did make noticeable hick-ups. But they were successfully shadowed with some synths in the music score. The director was very satisfied and were worked together in many projects afterwards.
The video below is the 15 minute festival version of the film.
Below is the 28 minute extended version of Humidor! Which is personally my favorite 🙂 Enjoy!
